This book is an absolute gem! Its full of really helpful advice and we love the way the techniques are coupled with projects, so that you learn it and then practise it. Some of our particular favourites are the Lined linen basket, Café curtain and Dining chair cover. If you are stuck at home during lockdown, these delightful projects are a wonderful opportunity not only to learn a skill, but to create something really useful. Highly Recommended!

Crochet Addict UK

An invaluable book for anyone who wants or does sew. The book takes you through all the skills and techniques you need to know and then offers you projects to practice your new found skills. Whether you are new to sewing or you just want to expand your knowledge, this book offers fantastic value for money. It's jam packed with so much information. I love the fact that this book is hard backed so will last a long time with a lot of wear and tear. It's spiral bound so it means that you can keep it easily open at the page you need. The projects that you are supplied with to practice your new skills are beautiful, practical and perfect for your home or as gifts.

The projects are varied using all the different techniques. I only received my first sewing machine as a Christmas Present this year and this book has taken the fear out of using it. I am learning so much and I love the fact that I can quickly flick to the technique I need to learn about and soon find that the book makes me at ease with it.  Each of the techniques discussed and each of the projects come with clear and easy to understand instructions as well as really easy to follow pictures. This book is fantastic value for money. I already find it invaluable and keep it on hand whenever I start a new sewing project.

Sewing can be bewildering, and if you are at a loss as a complete beginner, this book should prove useful. Even if you have never sewn before, this book will show you how to make soft furnishings and accessories. You'll find advice on tools and equipment as well as sewing machine basics. Hand stitches show you how to complete projects. The projects include an apron, curtains, pillows, tablecloth and more to make your house a home. You'll learn how to do basic stitches and other techniques. Discover how to do seams, hems, make curves, mitred corners, make buttonholes and more. The spiral binding means the book lies flat, which is always a bonus. The images and instructions are clear. This is an extremely useful book. Recommended.
