British Patchwork & Quilting
The answers to many questions and problems can be found in this compendium of patchwork and quilting.
The first section lists the necessary equipment and explains the techniques of rotary cutting, making templates and pressing etc. Later chapters deal with hand machine and longarm quilting.
One tip, amongst so much information, occurs more than once, using a straight-stitch plate on the machine will improve the stitches. Many photos illustrate examples of the techniques, as well a humorous advice about cats and quilts.
Edging and Binding, entering a competition and care and storage of quilts are all covered.
I cannot commend this book too highly, it is my Book of the Month.
