After learning to stitch and knit, calligraphy was the next thing I had a go at, around the age of 11. I have always been drawn to lettering styles. This is simply the best calligraphy book on the market. Beautiful layout, everything you need to know, fantastic examples of work, clear instructions and no less than twenty lettering styles. The styles include Uncials, Roman capitals and Gothic to freeform lettering with complete alphabets. Illustrated with historical and contemporary work and also gives historical insights into the scripts. There are links to video tutorials too. Instructive, comprehensive and easy to use. Suitable for all levels.
