Crazy Quilting has always been a dream of mine to try since I saw a beautiful
crazy quilt cushion in Smithills Hall I have always felt daunted by the process
but this book has taken away that fear. There are ten projects in this book
and everything you need to know to make them is in the book. You are taken through easy steps how to crazy quilt. Everything from materials to use to how to
use the piecing method. Then it's straight into the projects. The first project is the tablet purse. You start off with a bulleted list of everything you will need to complete the project. Then it's onto the making. With each picture you are shown the things you need to complete and where you can find each of the stitches in the book. As it is broken down into smaller parts it doesn't seem quite as daunting. Once you have completed the front panel you are then talked through the back panel and how to assemble the purse. After the projects is the stitch dictionary. You are supplied with step by step instructions with some pictures to support you. Pictures are included on some of the stitches to show how the stitch appears in one of the projects. At the back of the book all the templates
you will need are provided. I love this fact as it means I can use the book without having to re-size the patterns. Overall I really like the projects in the book and they bring together an amazing array of techniques using crazy quilting.

Discover 10 excellent quilted projects that are perfectly useful, stylish and practical. See how to combine different types of fabrics in your crazy-quilting with full-size patterns. That is a bonus, as you will not need to re-size anything. Find 60 embroidery and beading stitches with instructions. That’s bonus number 2. There are 10 projects in all and I would be happy to make all 10. How often can you say that you would make every project in a book? My favourites are the slippers and the spring flower bag, but all the projects are attractive. They include more bags, tablet case, glasses purse, sewing pouch, trinket box, sewing basket and tea cosy. They can be seen altogether on the Contents page. This book has excellent tips, ones I have not seen before. It also teaches you foundation piecing. The clear diagrams and photographs are superb along with easy-t0-follow instructions. Fabric and thread requirements are seen at a glance. With the stitch dictionary and using the ideas in this book, you could easily make many more projects of your own. That’s bonus number 3. This book clearly explains techniques and provides wonderful projects and ideas. Superb book, highly recommended.
